Che Figata hosts fundraiser for Naperville-based non-profit

May is National Foster Care Month and as Che Figata, the Italy-to-Table restaurant, bar and market at CityGate Centre, prepares to open  it hosted a pre-opening fundraiser May 21 for Our Children’s Homestead, a Naperville-based foster care agency with a vision to set wards of the state on a path to achieving happiness, health, self suffciency and success.
Guests ordered off the brand new, authentic Italian menu and with payment of their checks, the full amount less tax and gratuity was donated to Our Children's Homestead by Che Figata. Restaurant owner Mae Calamos also made a personal donation to bring the total raised to $10,790.95.
Che Figata will hold a Grand Opening ribbon cutting ceremony with Mayor Steve Chirico and the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce May 30, followed by a reception. It opens to the public May 31. For reservations call 630-579-3210.
