More than $5k raised for Little Friends Giving Tree kickoff at CityGate Grille

Generous tips and sales of an exclusive drink tallied more than $5,000 for Little Friends Giving Tree Program, when CityGate Grille hosted the “Dinner with Friends” fundraiser Thursday, Nov. 8. The event both kicked-off this year’s Giving Tree program, and was the inaugural fundraiser driven by Little Friends’ newly appointed auxilliary board.

Auxilliary board members worked the room, alongside CityGate Grille servers and Executive Chef Adam Tanner, selling the $20, signature “I’ve Got a Crush on Blue” cocktail with all proceeds going to Little Friends, and earning some extraordinary tips donated to the cause. Among the nearly 150 supporters attending the event were Naperville Mayor Steve Chirico & his wife Julie, and Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce CEO Nicki Anderson.

I've Got a Crush on Blue was the name of the blueberry infused specialty cocktail created by CityGate Grille for the Little Friends Giving Tree fundraiser. Supporters toast with the $20 drink, with all proceeds going to the Giving Tree program.

CityGate Grille Executive Chef Adam Tanner personally serves a shrimp cocktail to supporters at the Little Friends Giving Tree fund raiser.

The Auxiliary Board's goal to "fill the Grille" with supporters was achieved, generating $5,000+ in donations.
