CityGate Grille, the USDA Prime steak and seafood restaurant at CityGate Centre, will host the first of its Summer Sips series of patio events with its International Wine Tasting, 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday, June 22.
Headlining the event is Chicago soul, jazz and blues vocalist Jazmin Sky, and guests can enjoy wines from three “tables” of wines: Old World Table with selections from Europe; New World Table with selections from Australia, New Zealand and Argentina; and Domestic Table with wines of California and Washington State. The event marks the kickoff of CityGate Grille’s patio dining, available daily at 5 p.m. The expansive patio is half-tented offering full or covered al fresco dining. Reservations for patio or indoor dining can be made at OpenTable or by calling 630-718-1010.
CityGate Grille also recently launched its First Call special: $10 appetizers and $2 oysters weekdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., ideal to pair with its new, CityGate Classics cocktail menu offering time-honored libations such as Aviation, originated in 1917 New York, and Vesper, popularized in Ian Flemming’s debut Bond novel, Casino Royale published in 1953.
Other weekly specials are half-priced beer and cocktails on Tuesdays, and half-priced bottles of wine on Wednesdays. Menu specials include Snow Crab on Mondays and, a CityGate favorite, Prime Rib on Thursdays.
The restaurant is in the Calamos Investments building, 2020 Calamos Court, at CityGate Centre in Naperville, along Rte. 59 near I-88. It offers weekday lunch service and dinner service Monday through Saturday, along with live music Friday evenings, and semi-private and private events, from business meetings to weddings and other social celebrations.
