“I am honored to be recognized among a group of esteemed industry colleagues who are doing great things to advance equal opportunity within the financial services industry,” said Knotts. I want to thank InvestmentNews not only for this honor but also for raising awareness of the importance of diversity and inclusion to the future of our industry.”

Jim Baka, President of Calamos Wealth management, said, “Anita represents the best within our firm; she has worked tirelessly over the past 17 years to help build our business success by applying diversity and inclusion principles in our recruiting efforts. In addition she has long dedicated herself working in the community to provide thought leadership and lend her voice to diversity and inclusion initiatives.”

The Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion recognition program aims to tell the story of individuals and firms who have used their success, leadership skills and willingness to implement and advocate for diversity and inclusion within the financial advisory industry.

“Our 2019 Diversity & Inclusion awards and recognition program is intended to highlight D&I in financial advice and, more importantly, promote the proliferation of equal opportunity for everyone—regardless of their ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation and physical limitations,” said Frederick P. Gabriel, editorial director of InvestmentNews. “These individuals are great role models for the next generation.”

Knotts, along with the other individuals and firms making the second annual Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion list, is highlighted in the August 5th issue of InvestmentNews and online at investmentnews.com. She and other winners will be recognized at InvestmentNews’ Diversity and Inclusion luncheon on September 24 in New York City.
