In a unanimous vote, the Naperville City Council tonight green-lit plans by Willow Bridge Property Company—the developer behind the award-winning Domain CityGate luxury apartment building—to proceed with its second residential community at CityGate Centre.
The new project with the working name "CityGate II" will be built on approximately five acres at the southeast corner of Ferry Road and CityGate Lane. The four-story development will add 297 apartment homes—studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom floor plans—to CityGate Centre, along with resort-style amenities including a fitness center, yoga room, outdoor pool, grill stations, pickleball court, gaming lounge, golf simulator, coworking room and lounge, a sky lounge and an enclosed parking structure.

Citing the success of its 285-unit Domain CityGate apartments, along with renderings, traffic studies and other relevant data, Willow Bridge went before the Naperville Planning and Zoning Commission in June, securing it’s endorsement.
Domain CityGate, which opened in fall 2022, is the first-ever residential development in Naperville north of Interstate 88, following a March 2022 City Council approval of an updated Land Use Master Plan. Since opening, it’s maintained leasing at 95% or better, demonstrating the demand for housing along Naperville's I-88 corridor.
Domain CityGate It also was named the NAIOP Chicago 2023 Multifamily Development of the Year.
Ground-breaking on the new building is anticipated later this year.
